The film is followed by two of the most famous organized chiefs of crime from New York, Frank Costello (Robert De Niro) and Vito Genovese (De Niro), who are fighting for control over the streets of the city. Once, best friends, minor jealousy and a series of betrayals, place them on a deadly collision course, which will forever transform the mafia (and America).
