A gothic tale about the obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire in love with her, causing untold horror in his wake.. The exterior of Orlok Castle was filmed at Hunedoara Castle, also known as Corvinilor Castle, a Romanian castle. located in Transylvania and one of the largest existing medieval castles in Europe. Moreover, it is the castle where Vlad Dracula was imprisoned for a short time.. Professor Albin Eberhart von Franz: Here we meet the undead plague bearer… the vampire… Nosferatu.. Presented in H – Distribution: Death Threats, Nosferatu Christmas, Doctor Who Death & MORE! H-Cast S3 EP 143 (2024). Overall, Nosferatu has a lot going for it. It has a decent story with great production value that gives you a great sense of terror and dread when dealing with the vampire parts. It’s the in-between that really sinks it. Overall, the production value is this film’s best asset. What they did in post-production wonders for the film. The color grading they used for certain scenes was amazing. Peter gave it a real field noir. The score was brilliant to build tension. There were some great jump scares, exemplified by the post-production and lighting score. The characters were decent and well thought out. The dialogue was decent and again well thought out. Nothing seemed out of place. Unfortunately, the story was a bit bloated. There were several scenes that definitely could have been taken to reduce the running time a bit. I don’t want to go into spoiler details, but if you like Robert Eggers in his other work, then you’re gonna enjoy this film..
